On the reasons behind the setting up of the gigantic HYPPADEC project in Yauri town among other HYPPADEC State?
The managing Director of the Commission said, "Yauri and New Bussa in Nigeria State are two major town where Niger river Dam Authority has an agreement with the Community that it will provide them electricity and pipe borne water."
"When the Kainji Dam was completed and the town was moved to the new place and the promised was not fulfilled and this is the major objective of the establishment of HYPPADEC. This is why we decided to meet up the commitment, and this is why we are doing this project in New Bussa and Yauri." He said.
Alhaji Yelwa however, appealed to the people to take the project as their own, and pay the monthly dues required for constant provision of their daily water needs.
