NDE EMPOWERS LESS PRIVILEGE PEOPLE IN KEBBI. BY GOLD AZOKHOME. 

The Federal Government through the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has given no fewer than 74 less privilege people in Kebbi State a macro enterprise small scale loan to enhance their petty businesses.

The State Coordinator of NDE, Mr. Amos Ambatiano Francis who disclosed this to newsmen shortly after the disbursement said the sum of N20,000 was given out to this category of the people as an empowerment to boost their petty trades.

Francis explained that this meager loan was mainly given out to petty traders who engages in sales of sugarcane, groundnut sellers, beans cake friers (akara) cornflour bakers (maza) among other petty businesses.

He explained further that the macaroni credit scheme is a loan and not a grant, the loan is a three months monitorum before they will start to pay back and it is also a revolving loan "if you pay, another set of people would be given."

"My wish for them is to succeed in their various businesses, I will also advise them to allow their attitude to change from underrating any business, no business is small but how you conduct it matters. N20,000, though small, but if properly utilize will become huge for them." He said.
