A coalition of Northern Christian Youth, under the aegis of Northern Christian Youth Professionals ( NCYP) has called on Nigerians to use the Easter celebration as a season love, renewal of hope to reflect on the virtues of Jesus Christ's death on the cross and emulate them in our daily lives.

In a press statement signed by the National Chairman of the Association, Mr. Isaac Abrak and made available to Galaxy News in Birnin-Kebbi, quoted the National Chairman saying, "we must use this opportunity to reflect on the state of our nation and the challenges we face. In light of the Presidential election, we congratulate His Excellency Sen Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory, believing that under his leadership, Nigeria can make significant progress by improving our economy and security.

"We are aware that not all Nigerians voted for him, all the same, we urge those who did not vote for him to put aside their differences and support him in his efforts to improve the lives of all Nigerians, as he will now be responsible for the well-being of all Nigerians, it is very important that we all work together towards a better Nigeria."

"As a Christian organization, we firmly believe in the power of prayers and the importance of leadership that upholds Christian values. We therefore urged all Nigerians, irrespective of religious beliefs, to support the President Elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his efforts to improve the lives of Nigerians."

The Association however noted with concern the recent calls by some individuals and groups to stop the handover of power to date as scheduled describing such call as evil, unpatriotic and shameful.

Those behind such calls are enemies of democracy, peaceful coexistence, and a united Nigeria because Nigerians have spoken through the ballot, and it is important that we respect the will of the people.

"We call on all Nigerians to distance themselves from any person or group of persons that calls for the subversion of the will of the people. We must all work together to tackle the various challenges facing our nation, including insecurity, economic hardship, and political unrest. We urge all Nigerians to imbibe the spirit of Easter, which is that of selflessness,
compassion, and love, and to work towards promoting peace, unity, and progress in our beloved country." The statement read.

The statement also said with confidence that under the leadership of President Elect, Nigeria will move towards a better and brighter future. We call on all Nigerians to join hands with him and work towards the progress and development of our great nation.
